Locals Win at Imagen Awards

A number of popular Latino actors were honored Friday, August 18th at the 21st Annual Imagen Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The Imagen Awards were established in 1985 to encourage and recognize the positive portrayal of Latinos in all media and to increase Latino representation at all levels of the entertainment industry.
Miami's Andy Garcia took home Best Director for his work on The Lost City, which also garnered the award for Best Picture.
Another winner from Miami is Animus Group, which co-produced with Zeal Television, a show called El Reto Final Nissan. They brought home the award for Best Variety or Reality Show.
