Screening of Doc on Gentrification in West Grove

If you missed the screening of West Grove: A Sense of Place at Rewind/Fast Forward, you have another chance to catch the documentary by Chad Tingle and Marlon Johnson. Culture in the City is hosting the doc on August 23, 2006 at the Women's Club of Coconut Grove.
Set against the background of the current housing crisis, this film shows the dramatic changes in a small community when big development and rising real estate prices threaten to displace and forever change a historical community. Filmmakers (and others) will discuss the documentary following this screening.
Complimentary wine and cheese will be offered at 7:00pm with the movie to follow at 7:30pm. The admission fee is $10; students and SFWA members: half price with valid ID; CITC honors Code 33 membership cards. The screening will be held at:
