The Soldier In Distribution
(released 3/15/2006)

Executive Producer of Latitude 25 Pictures, Rick Michaels, announced that the 10 minute short subject drama, The Soldier, has been picked-up by IndieFlix.com for worldwide distribution.

The Soldier, the brain-child of writer/director William 'Bill' Garcia, was produced by Moving Picture Media and Latitude 25 Pictures. It stars Glenn Shelhamer (Post Human, Driven MADD, Universal/NBC-TV's Passions), Rick Michaels (Rope Art, Hoot, Chat, The Interrogation, Bad Boys 2, CSI-Miami) and Cord Newman (Bad Boys II, Too Fast/Too Furious) with Wellington Chinesse and Amy Garcia. It was chosen as 250th (second round runner-up, out of over seven-thousand entrants) in the HBO/Miramax, Blockbuster, 'Project Greenlight' directing competition, two years in a row. 'Soldier' was also accepted into several film festivals.

The story is about a young soldier (Glenn Shelhamer) in 1968 Viet Nam and how the memory of his wife back in the 'States' haunts him to the point of putting his company at risk. His Sergeant (Rick Michaels) explains that his sanity will depend on him making his first kill in combat.
