HBO Latino Premieres New Lineup
(released 8/23/2005)

HBO Latino will be premiering a lineup of programs during Hispanic Heritage Month, which will spotlight Latino talent in front and behind the camera. From contemporary dramas to comedy to sports, HBO Latino will offer unique, first-run entertainment during September and October.

The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month will be anchored around four key programs, original or exclusive to HBO Latino: Epitafios, Torremelinos 73, Oscar De La Hoya Presenta Boxeo De Oro, and Habla y Habla, which was filmed in Miami.

Habla Y Habla - The latest installment of HBO Latino's original "Habla" on-air campaign which premiered in 2003, features anecdotes and real life accounts of what it means to be Latino in the U.S. Through the use of poetry, narratives and comical vignettes, bilingual performers touch on subjects like family, food, stereotypes, cross-cultures and "Spanglish" as a third language. The half-hour special can be seen Sept. 14 at 9:30 p.m. ET, with encores Sept. 20, 22, 25 and 30. A second part will premiere in October.
