Memorial Day Holiday...
The Miami-Dade Office of Film & Entertainment, The City of Miami Mayor's Office of Film & Cultural Affairs and the Miami Beach Office of Film & Event Production Management will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2008 for Memorial Day Holiday.
Filming Restrictions in Miami Beach During Memorial Day Weekend... Please be advised that from Friday, May 23 at 7:00 AM until Tuesday, May 27 at 7:00 AM, the City of Miami Beach's Police Department will be on alpha bravo staffing, thereby eliminating the availability of any off-duty assignments. As a result, the Miami Beach Film Office will be unable to issue any permits that require a police officer. City-wide permits of teams of 10 or less people total that fulfill our City-wide requirements and do not have authorized or beach access vehicle use can still apply. Please also note that due to union requirements, off-duty staffing will be extremely low in the days before and after this period. If you have a need, please call us at 305-673-7070 to coordinate this as soon as possible.
