Vonelle is a drama short film written and directed by Lauran Childs.

Vonelle is a short story about a black transsexual woman who tries to come between a young couple in love.

The film is an unpaid project; however Lauran will provide: copy, credit, meals, and expenses to actors cast in the film. We'll be filming in: Brickell, South Miami, and Key Biscayne in Florida. Lauran will use the short to enter into film festivals with the hopes of gaining financing for her other projects, Killer Eyes (website above) and She Lives Again.

We're seeking a black transgender woman for the titular role of Vonelle. Vonelle is described as a sassy and confident transgender woman who works as a hairstylist in a salon. The age range for the role is 40's to 50's. This is the only role that we need to cast before filming can begin.
